Day 1-2: Australia/Phnom Penh Board Singapore Airlines flight to Phnom Penh via Singapore. On arrival on Day 2, transfer to hotel. This afternoon, we visit the genocide museum at Tuol Sleng, the Killing Fields of Choeng Ek & the National Museum. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Phnom Penh Today we tour the capital city of Cambodia, including stops at the Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda. This afternoon we visit the Central & Russian Markets, before enjoying sunset from Wat Phnom.
Day 4: Phnom Penh/Siem Reap After breakfast, departure transfer to board domestic flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, transfer to hotel. This afternoon we visit some highlights on the 'little circuit,' including Ta Prohm where you can still see stone structures entangled by roots. Enjoy sunset views over Angkor Wat before dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Siem Reap Today we head off early to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat and then drive northwards to visit the intricately carved Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. After lunch, we tour Angkor Wat with its 800-m long bas-reliefs. Evening dinner & classical dance show at Apsara Theatre in Angkor village. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Siem Reap Today we visit some of the outstanding sites in the fortified city of Angkor Thom including the Victory Gate, Bayon, Baphuon and the Terrace of Elephants. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Siem Reap/HCMC (Vietnam) Morning transfer to board flight to Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon). On arrival our National Escort will greet us and transfer us to our hotel for 2 nights.This afternoon we explore Ho Chi Minh City on a sightseeing tour visiting the Reunification Hall, History Museum & Chinatown. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Cu Chi Tunnels This morning we visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the war. Overnight at hotel in HCMC.
Day 9: HCMC/Mekong Delta Today we leave HCMC for one night for Cantho, the capital of Mekong Delta. This afternoon we visit a bee farm and orchards and experience daily life on the mighty Mekong. Overnight
Day 10: Mekong Delta/HCMC After breakfast we board a boat tour on the Mekong River at Mytho, visiting the colourful Cai Rang floating market. After lunch we drive back to HCMC for one night via the Dong Tam Snake Farm. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11-12: HCMC/Dalat Today after breakfast we drive to Dalat for 2 nights with sightseeing stops at Langa fish farm & Bao Loc Mountain Pass. Afternoon arrive at Dalat, a former resort area. Evening at leisure; overnight at hotel. Next day we visit Thuyen Lam Lake & Truc Lam Pagoda. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 13: Dalat/Nha Trang Today after breakfast we proceed to Nha Trang. En route visit Ngoan Muc Mountain Pass & Po Klong Garai Towers. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Nha Trang Enjoy a morning sightseeing boat tour exploring islands around Nha Trang. Evening at leisure.
Day 15: Nha Trang/Danang/Hoi An Very early morning transfer to the airport to board flight to Danang. On arrival we transfer to Hoi An where we stay for 3 nights. Afternoon at leisure. Hoi An is a shopper's paradise full of tailors just waiting to take your orders!
Day 16-17: Hoi An Today we proceed on a walking tour of the town visiting an Assembly Hall, an old merchant house and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Following day free at leisure to explore or shop.
Day 18: Hoi An/Hue After breakfast, drive to Hue with en route sightseeing at Cham Museum & Marble Mountains. Overnight at hotel for 1 night. Tomorrow our sightseeing tour includes a boat cruise along the Perfume River, stopping at Thien Mu Pagoda and Emperor Minh Mang's tomb.
Day 19: Hue/Hanoi Afternoon transfer to the airport to board flight to Hanoi. On arrival transfer to hotel & spend evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 20: Hanoi/Halong Bay On this morning's half-day tour we visit Hanoi's Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and the Temple of Literature. After lunch transfer to Halong Bay. On arrival check in to hotel for 1 night.
Day 21: Halong Bay/Hanoi After breakfast we board a cruise boat for a half-day cruise on Halong Bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch while meandering amongst the magnificent limestone pinnacles jutting from the bay, visiting caves en route. This afternoon we head back to Hanoi and check in to hotel for 1 night
Day 22: Hanoi/Sapa This morning we visit the complex containing Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum & a museum celebrating his life. Afterwards, tour the One Pillar Pagoda. After dinner, board overnight train to Sapa, the tribal land of Vietnam. Overnight train soft sleeper.
Day 23-24: Lao Cai/Sapa On arrival at Lao Cai train station, transfer to Sapa. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel for 2 nights. Tomorrow we visit the surrounding villages of the Black H'Mong.
Day 25: Sapa/Hanoi Morning at leisure. Evening transfer to Lao Cai railway station. Board overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight train soft sleeper.
Day 26: Hanoi On arrival we visit Hanoi's night flower market, followed by breakfast & hotel check-in. Day at leisure. This evening, be amused and amazed by the antics of the world famous Vietnamese water puppets. Overnight at hotel.
Day 27-28: Hanoi/Australia Departure transfer to the airport to board flight to Australia via Singapore. Arrive home the following morning.
