China Unveiled- 28 Days From AUD$5680

Day 1-2: Australia/Singapore/Beijing
Fly with Singapore Airlines to Beijing, via Singapore. On arrival the following day, we will be welcomed by our National Escort and transferred to our hotel for 3 nights. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3-4: Beijing
After breakfast, we visit The Great Wall & Temple of Heaven. Today our dinner is Beijing (Peking) Duck.
Following morning after breakfast, we visit Tiananmen Square & Chairman Mao's Mausoleum. After lunch it's on to the Forbidden City followed by a hutong (alleyway) tour by pedicab, exploring Liulichang Street.

Day 5: Beijing/Xi'an
Morning at leisure. After lunch we visit the Beijing Zoo to see Giant Pandas. Afterwards, it's on to the Summer Palace. After dinner, transfer to railway station to board overnight train to Xi'an. Overnight train soft sleeper.

Day 6-7: Xi'an
On arrival, transfer to hotel for 2 nights. Morning at leisure. Afternoon visit to the Big Goose Pagoda, the Tang Dynasty Museum & the Shaanxi Museum. Your dinner tonight is "Jiaozi", the specialty meat and vegetable dumplings of Xi'an. End the day with Tang Dynasty Dancing.
Tomorrow we visit the World Heritage-listed Terracotta Warriors. After lunch we tour Bell & Drum Tower Square and the Great Mosque. Overnight at hotel.


Day 8: Xi'an/Wuhan
Morning at leisure. After lunch transfer to airport to board flight to Wuhan. On arrival transfer to Yichang to board Yangtze River Cruise for 4 nights.

Day 9-11: Yangtze River Cruise
Over the next three days cruise the mighty Yangtze River. Relax & enjoy the breathtaking scenery, crossing through the Three Gorges: Qutang, Xiling and Wu. You will have the opportunity to visit small villages along the way.

Day 12: Chongqing/Chengdu

Disembark cruise at Chongqing. Transfer to Chengdu. On arrival check in to your hotel for 1 night. Afternoon visit to the local market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Chengdu/Kunming
This morning we transfer to Chongqing's airport to board flight to Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province. Explore its fascinating alleyways and wooden buildings.

Day 14: Kunming
Full day tour of Kunming, including visit to Stone Forest (Shilin). After lunch, we visit the Qiqing Yi Minority village. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15-16: Kunming/Dali

Today we travel by coach to Dali, one of the most scenic cities in China. On arrival, check into your hotel for 2 nights.
Next morning we visit picturesque Erhai Hu (Ear-shaped Lake), and visit Xihou, a typical Bai Minority town. After lunch we visit the Three Pagodas and a Bai tie-dye workshop.

Day 17: Dali/Kunming
Return to Kunming for 1 night. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 18:Kunming/Guilin
Departure transfer to airport to board flight to Guilin, most famous for its scenery & greenery. Afternoon visit to the Reed Flute Cave & Institute of Chinese Medicine. Overnight at hotel.

Day 19-20: Guilin/Yangshuo (Li River Cruise)

This morning board the Li River Cruise to Yangshuo. Lunch on board. On arrival transfer to hotel in Yangshuo for 1 night. Following day return to Guilin in the late afternoon.

Day 21-22: Guilin/Hangzhou
Morning at leisure. Departure transfer to board flight to Hangzhou. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel for 2 nights.
The following day we tour Hangzhou, including the Liuhe Pagoda and a local teahouse. After lunch we enjoy the golden fish at Flower Harbour Park and a cruise on West Lake. Before dinner, we explore Qinghefang Street with its Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings. Overnight at hotel.

Day 23: Hangzhou/Wuzhen/Suzhou
After breakfast we travel by coach to the restored ancient water town of Wuzhen. After lunch we continue on to Suzhou. On arrival check in to your hotel for 1 night. Afternoon sightseeing in Suzhou to visit the Master of Nets Garden & an embroidery factory. Before dinner, enjoy an afternoon cruise on the 1000-year old Grand Canal.

Day 24: Suzhou/Shanghai
Morning at leisure. After lunch we continue on to Shanghai, where we stay for 3 nights. Shanghai is China's leading industrial, commercial & financial centre. This afternoon we visit The Bund followed by an evening cruise on the Huangpu River. Overnight at hotel.

Day 25-26: Shanghai
This morning visit Jade Buddha Temple and People's Square. After lunch, we head for a silk factory before visiting Old Shanghai and the Yu Gardens Bazaar. This evening we enjoy an acrobatic show.
The following morning we have the opportunity to shop in busy Nanjing Rd. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Tonight we enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the Lupolang Restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 27-28: Shanghai/Singapore/Australia

Departure transfer to board flight to Australia, via Singapore. Following morning arrive in Australia with many happy memories of China.
